The Cushing School PTO is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and therefore we rely on fundraising to finance our programs and initiatives. One of our primary fundraisers is our Direct Donation Campaign. Contributions from the families of the Cushing community are the most effective way to help financially support the PTO and its many initiatives. Every dollar donated benefits our children directly. Every year the PTO spends over $10,000.00 for the enrichment programs that all Cushing Students are able to experience.

Money raised through our fundraising efforts are used for a variety of PTO directed events including:

Enrichment Programs
This year we were able to host two Scholastic author visits, Ball in the House and Kidstock! Theater.

Field Trips
The PTO was able to cover 100% of the costs (admission & bus fees) for ALL field trips this year including Kindergarten's visit to the Public Safety Complex and Dalby Farm, 1st grade's visit to Weir River Farm, 2nd grade's visit to the Mass Audubon Society and 5th grade's visit to Gillette Stadium. 

Grade Level Funding
The PTO provides funding to each grade level teacher and all other full time staff members to purchase necessary materials for their classrooms/ educational materials. 

Funds raised also contribute to Cushing Cares, Teacher Appreciation Week & more.

The PTO spends over $20,000.00 for the enrichment programs that every Cushing Student is able to experience!  Our goal is to  increase the budget for Enrichment Programs, provide support for every day instruction in the classroom, and help support our amazing field day!
